BOYS NIKE RACE of CHAMPIONS RECAP Creekside and Satellite were represented in the Nike Race of Champions. The Boys Race of Champions saw a blistering 2K split for Coach Butler's Satellite boys. Satellite was 40 points better than the next best team at 2K.
Coach Butler on the Satellite boys leading at the 2K mark, "I wanted the boys to go out hard and give us a shot at a top three. They did that but with the temperature a little warmer than perfect, they went out a little too fast. I could not believe we were actually leading half way thru the race. So for the front half we ran superb, for the back half we did not compete. We will l work our tails off the next month and hopefully run better on November 5th." Satellite ended up finishing 9th and Creekside finished 19th. Official Team Scores
GIRLS NIKE RACE of CHAMPIONS RECAP Ft. Myers, Holy Trinity and Satellite were represented in the Nike Race of Champions. Ft Myers was Florida's top school finishing 10th. Official Team Scores
